Its amazing how much of an audio dork I can be.

I was laying in my bedroom, relaxing after having cleaned the kitchen and my bedroom (they are finaly starting to be really liveable spaces since the move). I close my eyes, relax…then I realize the sound of the airconditioner. its beautiful. it has a nice harmonic structure. with just a little eq, I could probably pick out the fundamental and tune it.

so the next hour is spent trying to place a mic in front of the window unit in my bedroom in such a way to get the sound of the unit without the windnoise on the mic. it was more difficult than it should have been – i dont have a wind filter. I eventually got a good recording though.

I spent the next two hours editing it. pitching it around and adding a sine wave to get a fundamental that gave it more tonality. it was more fun than it should have been.

there is no sin greater than central air…

Ok, so I dont have central air, but my landlord got me a new air conditioning unit…ahh…life is good.

there is a cat in my appartment. I dont know where the cat came from. I just came home from work, and there was a cat here. I dont have any open windows/doors, and yet…there is a cat here.

someone explain this to me?

Ok, I’m going to try this again, as the inspiration is flowing and I’ve got the drive to get this project done and out.

I am looking for a female vocalist / front-woman who can competently write/collaborate on lyrics, sing, and possibly also play keyboards. This is for my personal project, which I have been working to get out for more years than I want to count.

Ideal individual will be artistically driven (i.e. no lazy asses) and is willing to make time for this project.

the F38 troop just left the house. I cant yet put into words the weekend that I have experienced. Ill try after I get some sleep…If I can remember how to sleep.

I got back from the Iowa show at 6:00am. my god, am I tired. My head is about to cave in.

It was an awesom show, and I have to say one of the best we have ever played. Filament and cruciform injection completely rocked as always.

We’ve got a day of rest ahead, and then our chicago show (at last). So much has gone into these last few days that I cant even begin to describe it.

I hope to see many of you at the chicago show tomorrow, as its going to be an awesom event.
