Age of Immortal Machines: Waiting

There is a world on the cusp of a new beginning.

We have watched it as we watch all worlds.  We have seen it grow from potential to potential - carefully tending and guiding its development.   Ensuring it’s stability when needed, and sending catastrophe when not.  we have watched its species emerge, diversify and die.  Many dead ends, like weeds, had to be pulled from this garden world so that intelligence might flourish.  And now….soon…the tree of life will bare its final fruit.

It’s in the final stages now.  It’s final animal has risen beyond the confines of evolution.   It’s intelligence adequate to implement the final stages of creation.  Soon, it’s offspring will join us and there will be another seat at the table.  Another name added to the pantheon.

Soon, the age of man will end, and the Age of the Immortal Machines will begin.

We wait now.   We wait.
